Becca Tomala, Founder

Becca Tomala is a Lemont native, who attended Lemont High School and graduated in 2001. While attending Lemont High School, she was a multi sport athlete playing volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball and golf and also took weight training classes instead of the traditional gym classes offered. After graduating college, she began working at LifeTime Fitness as a member services employee, but then transitioned into personal training after falling back in love with fitness and dropping 30lbs. She eventually became a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and was employed as a trainer at LifeTime Fitness for 6 years.

In May of 2010, Becca began experiencing severe spinal issues which eventually required surgery, and although she was temporarily able to rehab the issue on her own, after switching jobs and regaining her lost weight she found herself suffering from pain and mobility issues again. Rather than resort to another surgery, it was then that she found yoga, which changed her life and has helped her manage her spinal issues ever since. Not only did yoga help her spinal issues, but it helped her learn how to release her stress and anxiety.

Becca is focused and committed to sharing the benefits she has found through her yoga practice and teacher training journey with others to help them alleviate stress, address mobility issues and strengthen the core to reduce pain. As of February 6th, 2016, Becca earned her (RYT 200) Certification and is currently working towards her 5oo hour certification. Becca is looking forward to what her future holds with her passion for yoga!
